Hold Onto This Season

Relaxed, meaningful senior portraits in Birmingham, Alabama — designed so you can actually enjoy it.

For me, senior portraits are so much more than pictures — they’re frozen moments in time. You’ll never be in this season of life again. I would love to capture that for you — your style, your passions, your personality. Whether you love soccer, guitar, fashion, or hiking, my goal is to capture this moment before it slips away.

What Makes This Senior Portrait Experience Special

You Don’t Have to Know How to Pose

Most seniors tell me they’re a little nervous about being in front of the camera — and that’s completely normal. I’ll guide you every step of the way with easy, natural direction so you never feel awkward or unsure. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed so your personality can shine through.

Your Session Is Built Around You

No two seniors are the same, and your session shouldn’t be either. Whether you’re into sports, music, fashion, hiking, or something totally your own, we’ll design your session around what makes you you. Your style, your interests, your story — this is about capturing who you are right now.

A Simple, Stress-Free Process

From planning your session to delivering your final images, I make the entire process easy and organized. I’ll help with locations, timing, and all the little details so you don’t have to stress about any of it. You can just show up, enjoy the experience, and trust that you’re in good hands.

What’s Included in Your Senior Session

I want this to feel easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Here’s what you can expect when you book a senior session with me.

  • A fun, easygoing photo session that feels more like hanging out than a photoshoot
  • Gentle guidance and natural direction so you never have to wonder what to do
  • Carefully edited, high-quality images
  • A private online gallery for viewing, sharing, and downloading your images
  • We’ll plan your session together so it truly feels like you. Whether you’re drawn to something urban and downtown, something classic and timeless, or something more natural and outdoorsy, I’ll help you choose the perfect location and overall style. I’ll also help you choose what to wear so everything feels comfortable, cohesive, and true to you. And if there are special things that matter to you — like sports, hobbies, instruments, or even a cheer uniform — we’ll make sure those are thoughtfully included in your session too.

Senior Session Questions, Answered

When should we book a senior session?

Senior sessions can take place in fall, winter, or spring, depending on the look you love. Fall offers warm, creamy, dreamy light. Winter has a softer, more ethereal feel. Spring brings bright light and blooming flowers — and it’s also when cap and gown portraits usually happen.

The most important thing is booking early, especially if you have a certain season or timeframe in mind, so you have the best chance of getting the date that works best for you.

What should my senior wear?

Don’t worry — I’ll help with this! We’ll talk through outfit ideas and overall style during the planning process so everything feels comfortable, flattering, and true to your senior’s personality.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions can take place in a variety of locations depending on the look you love — from urban and downtown spots, to classic and timeless settings, to more natural outdoor locations. We’ll choose the location together based on your style and what feels most like “you”.

My senior is nervous about photos. Is that normal?

Completely normal — almost every senior feels that way at first. My sessions are very relaxed and easygoing, and I’ll guide you the whole time so it never feels awkward or uncomfortable.

How long does it take to get our photos?

On average, you can expect your finished images in about one week. If you need something sooner for an announcement, yearbook, or invitation, just let me know — I’m always happy to work with you when timing is important.

What if the weather is bad?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry — we’ll keep an eye on the forecast together and make a plan. If we need to reschedule or adjust locations, we’ll do that. I want your session to be relaxed and enjoyable, not rushed or stressful.

I’d Love to Work with You

As Karl Lagerfeld once said, “What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”

That’s what I love about senior portraits. This season of life is brief and meaningful, and it deserves to be remembered. I would be honored to help you capture it in a way that feels natural, personal, and true to who you are. If this feels like the right fit, I’d love to hear from you.
